The Al Haig Quartet's album Four is a mesmerizing collection of jazz tracks that showcase the incredible talent of each musician. Throughout the album, Haig's piano playing is flawless and his improvisations are nothing short of brilliant. The quartet's rhythm section, consisting of bassist Bill Crow and drummer Lee Abrams, provide a solid foundation for the group's sound, while the saxophonist Jimmy Raney's solos are both soulful and intricate. The album's standout track is undoubtedly "Autumn in New York," which features a stunning arrangement that perfectly captures the essence of the city. Four is a must-have for anyone who appreciates the artistry of jazz music.
