Review by Scott Scherbing

Christie Front Drive, the self-titled album by the American emo band, is a must-listen for fans of the genre. Released in 1996, this album showcases the band's signature style of melodic guitars, introspective lyrics, and emotional vocals.

The album starts with the track "Seven Day Candle," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song features soft guitar riffs and contemplative lyrics about self-discovery and change. This theme is carried throughout the album, with tracks like "Radio" and "4010" delving into the complexities of relationships and the search for meaning.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "November," which features haunting guitar riffs and cathartic vocals. The song builds to a climax with the repeated line "I'm not afraid to be alone," which is sure to resonate with anyone who has experienced the pain of heartbreak.

I really like a lot of the revival stuff. But very little out of that era captures the emotions that a song like Saturday does for me. Beautiful song

This feels like post rock and emo mixed to me. Cool key changes here and there, I like the moments where it’s just music w/o lyrics

This album was timely and powerful. When I first heard them they blew my mind and I still at 43 listen to them as though I’m being reintroduced to music.

I listened to this album all the time at my very lowest, I still come back from time to time. I was so depressed I just became numb to everything and I didn’t care what happened To me. If you are going through something similar find something you enjoy doing to distract you from how you are feeling. This isn’t the right thing for everyone but when I was lost I joined the military, it’s got its downs but it was foundation
