Italian heavy metal band, formed in 1977 in Pesaro, and then moved to Florence. The band's name also came to be intended as a contraction of the words "In Death of Steve Sylvester" since the release of the album of the same name in 1988.

Considered to be the band's most difficult work to appreciate (quite the contrary, speaking on a structural level), Panic finds Death SS using once again modern production and sound techniques to make the album more enjoyable, due to the scarcity of hooks here. The frequent synth sounds and change of frequencies, especially in the vocals, make the band seem like a far simpler One Second-era Paradise Lost or a miniature of His Infernal Majesty, while the orchestration on "Equinox of the Gods" recalls early Epica. The songs are so simple and direct that many can dance to their rhythms, though the excess of simplicity is a drag more than anything else.Highlights: "Lady of Babylon".
